Role
• Manage the implementation and continuing development of Web Traffic Analysis over Company retail and wholesale html and xml sites
• Design actionable Business Intelligence and analysis
• Manage routine reporting and ad-hoc analysis
• Recommend actions to improve conversions including web site design, pricing, on-line marketing and other conversion strategies
Responsibilities
• Development of website performance measurement (using Web Trends for html and Hypertrack for xml) and a process for monitoring and reporting search and web traffic metrics, conversion and leakage metrics and site functionality usage
• Develop individual site reporting and a consolidated summary view of Company 40+ html and xml sites performance using the Cognos 8 BI tool
• Customer journey analysis to identify improvements to site functionality and content necessary to improve conversions and customer return visits
• Develop customer, supplier, product category performance analysis – identifying trends, patterns and anomalies that help understand customer behaviour, shaping site design, point of sale marketing, pricing and inventory sourcing decisions
• Assist Sales and Supply organization managers interpret web traffic data and formulate actionable tactical decisions
• Monitor competitor website functionality and performance (consumer, retail and wholesale) and identify potential gaps in competitor advantage. Recommend actionable improvements to the Product Development Team
Experience and Qualification/Training
• University degree in a quantitative discipline or relevant experience
• Prior experience of website tagging for html sites
• Prior experience of implementation and development of Web Trend (or Omniture or similar)
• Prior experience of integrating web traffic reporting with a corporate BI tool (Cognos 8 preferred)
• Project management experience/working knowledge
Knowledge and Skills
• Advanced web metrics analysis gained in a large scale multi channel environment
• Confidence and agility in drawing conclusions and making decisions based on data from multiple, unrelated data source
• Experience using analytical or business intelligence tools
• Strong written and verbal communication and presentational skills
• Extreme comfort with ambiguity and a fast-paced, dynamic organization
• Flexibility, ability to plan and organise, responsiveness, creativity, self-starter
• Able to accomplish goals through others
• Able to build solid working relationships with peers and senior leadership
