A firm of Chartered Accountants with three partners and 30+ staff, based in a single office in Central Milton Keynes. The existing tax department comprises a Tax Partner, Tax Manager, Tax Senior, Payroll Supervisor, and two Tax Assistants.  Much of the corporate tax work, and tax aspects of corporate finance work, are currently carried out outside the Tax Department, by general partners, managers and senior staff.
 
The role being offered will be a new position within the firm.  It is not a matter of stepping into an existing position.  As such, they are looking for someone with the skills and personality to stimulate the flow of work towards themselves.  Work will initially be provided by other managers and partners.  Success in those initial pieces is likely to be critical in the development of the role as a whole.
