Two 1 And A Half Year Old Cats Free To A Good Home Only
It's heartbreaking that I am having to give away my two babies, but I lost my job and it would be selfish of me to keep them when I can't really afford to look after them anymore... I want them to be cared for and although they are happy, they are not getting the best and that's what I want them to have... (as you can tell I am very attached to them)....
I AM GIVING THEM AWAY FREE TO A GOOD HOME.
BOTH ARE MALES... BOTH ARE NEUTERED... ONE IS BLACK WITH A BIT OF WHITE ON HIS TUMMY (called Henley).. THE OTHER IS BLACK AND WHITE ALL OVER (called Fizzgig)...
NEITHER HAVE EVER HISSED AND SCRATCHED A PERSON (unless playing), VERY FRIENDLY AND KITTEN LIKE.
Henley - I can guarantee will be the more nervous one to start with, but once he gets used to you he is very playful and adorable still, likes peace and quiet and someone to cuddle up next to. He is a little obsessed with food... and likes to miow a lot.
Fizzgig - Very friendly, loves to paw at fluffy things, he is a little ditzy sometimes and is always very curious. He also loves his food... but prefers to sleep lots when he's not scratching his scratchpost.
THEY ARE FROM DIFFERENT LITTERS AND HAVE GROWN UP TOGETHER, WE HAVE MOVED AROUND A LITTLE AND THEY HAVE BEEN INTRODUCED TO MANY OTHER CATS AND KITTENS IN THE DIFFERENT HOUSEHOLDS... THEY GET ON VERY WELL WITH OTHER CATS AND KITTENS. They even made friends with our neighbours cat in the current house which was adorable
THEY HAVE COME INTO CONTACT WITH CHILDREN A COUPLE OF TIMES, BUT I THINK THEY WOULD BENEFIT IN A HOUSE WITHOUT CHILDREN.
Other cats is fine, as long as they get their fair share of the attention... and are going to a pet owner who has looked up how to safely introduce cats to eachother (I know that mine are good, but I obviously don't want them to be attacked by any cats you may have!)
YOU MUST HAVE A GARDEN, AND IF YOU RENT THEN YOUR LANDLORD MUST BE FINE WITH IT - AND YOU MUST KNOW THAT MAKING A COMMITMENT TO HAVING CATS MEANS YOU MUST ALWAYS ENSURE THESE THINGS. YOU MUST BE EMPLOYED AND NOT BE ON DSS (I only say that because I am on that myself right now and I can't afford them even though I desperately want to be able to)
Regarding cat food, Whiskers and other commercial cat foods are full of water and sugar and are no good for them... so foods like Science Plan or natural like Burns, although expensive they last A LOT longer because they fill their tummies up quicker. Clean water must always be readily available.
I DON'T WANT THEM GOING TO A HOME WHERE THE POTENTIAL PET OWNER HAS A DOG OR PLANS ON GETTING ONE.
They need to be kept inside for a few weeks before being let out, so that they can rub their scent everywhere and can smell their way back home once they are allowed outside.... THEY HAVE ALWAYS BEEN OUTDOOR CATS AND SO I WON'T BE GIVING THEM TO ANYONE WHO WANTS THEM TO BE KEPT INDOORS.
I might sound a little OTT about this and I'm sorry, I'm friendly really! I just couldn't bare to have them go somewhere where they were worse off.
