IT MANAGER

Our International client is URGENTLY seeking an experienced and qualified IT Manager to run the UK IT Department as well as overseas interaction.

Basic Function:
Provides an overall IT management function to our clients UK facilities supporting corporate IT and regional business initiatives. Provides leadership to all IT functions including day to day IT staff management.

Essential Experience:
•Experienced knowledge of IT technologies including Microsoft networking, LAN and WAN infrastructure, Communication systems and PC technologies.
•Experience in IT project management
•3rd party vendor management
•Excellent Interpersonal skills
•Excellent Oral and written communications skills

Specific Functions:

•Assists in the planning and implementation of additions, deletions and major modifications to the supporting regional infrastructure.
•Implements network security at the regional level as established by corporate IT including all policies and procedures in support of IT audit functions.
•Oversees the administration and maintenance of our clients infrastructure.
•Provides day to day direction for junior IT staff members.
•Manages and develops upgrades to our clients telephone systems at the regional level.
•Oversees all communication system changes.
•Oversees troubleshooting, system backups, archiving and disaster recovery services as required.
•Works with project teams to implement specific IT system initiatives.
•Oversees all IT support functions initiated by the Global IS support organization.
•Interacts will internal customers on all levels to help resolve IT-related issues and answers in a timely manner.
•Builds and maintains vendor relationships and manages the purchase of hardware and software products within the region.
•Provides regional support for our clients Wide Area Network initiatives.
•Provides regional IT support for corporate IT initiatives.
•Oversees the administration and maintenance of server and PC systems.

•Communicates effectively with internal and external customers.
•Complies with and helps to ensure adherence to our clients policies and procedures.

The position will be based in Aylesbury Buckinghamshire with regular travel to Dunstable and Milton Keynes. There will also be occasional overseas travel.
