Simon Varlow, Managing Director of WebWarehouse has worked in the logistics and storage industry for over ten years, and founded the company after experience in trying to locate warehouse space of his own. “Nothing was straight-forward,” Varlow explained, “I was dealing with commercial estate agents, landlords and solicitors, which took a considerable amount of time. I wanted to find a way of simplifying the process, giving a customer just one contact to manage their move from start to finish, and so WebWarehouse was born.”
WebWarehouse’s largest projects to date have been relocating Torex to a 23,000 square foot warehouse in Milton Keynes, complete with racking best arranged to suit their needs, and finding Bonita Group a 13,000 square foot warehouse at short notice, complete with racking, parking for several large vehicles, telephone and internet connections and a large office space.
However, it’s not just the commercial premises that WebWarehouse manage. They also have almost 70 audited and vetted partners around the UK providing warehouse space from a single pallet upwards.
These services are used by businesses from all sectors, including government bodies, film and media agencies, furniture wholesalers and eBay sellers. WebWarehouse also have the ability to accommodate large items such as oversize generators and large printing machines.
Due to the high demand for this service, WebWarehouse are also in the process of developing a web-based warehouse directory, which will make it easier for people to find a storage facility in a convenient location. It will also enable warehouse managers to maximise the earning potential of their property, with customers coming directly to them and in turn saving on commission fees.
