Qualified Social Worker Young Persons Team
A Qualified Social Worker is required to join a Young Persons Team in Buckinghamshire.
Working within the Young Persons Team, this Qualified Social Worker will have the following responsibilities:
To assess the needs of children, young people and their families according to the terms and guidance of the Child Act.
1. To carry a specialist Child Care workload.
2. To work intensively with each case, devising and implementing clear child care plans.
3. To participate in the Child Care duty system as required.
4. To maintain individual case records and provide reports and information as required.
5. To be available for regular periods of supervision with a more senior member of staff.
6. To participate in staff meetings and to contribute to the development of the Team.
7. To attend such courses as are thought to be appropriate.
8. To undertake supervision of students or other staff where appropriate. (Range 8 Social Worker only).
9. To liaise with other agencies and, where appropriate, to be involved in multi-disciplinary work.
10. To cover as necessary in the absence of other social work staff.
