Have started a group of friends, a social circle within the MK area. A list of people aged 30-50 or there abouts who lack people in the vicinity to meet up with, or are too busy to meet new people or are new to the area. The general idea is that we all keep in touch and offer suggestions for evenings out or see who wants to see a film at the cinema or fancies a drink after work, that sort of thing. Not too structured, no fees, no obligations, no compulsory evenings, just a circle of friends.
